I gotta be honest. I thing SB looks pretty bad. I always hated Carly, but acknowledged that it was because SB portrayed Carly so brilliantly. I don't think the dark hair flatters her complexion at all. She looks really washed out. But the overall look - hair, clothes, make-up - make her character look cheap.

And, everytime I look at her, I see Carly. She's a good actress, but it wasn't that long ago that she WAS Carly. Not enough time has passed; GH can't expect the audience to completely overlook that.

Has this happened on another soap? Where they bring back a very popular, notable actor to play a new character? Tony Geary did it on GH in the 90s, but there was an explanation about that character looking so much like Luke (wasn't he a cousin or something). I can't think of any other examples. I just find it confusing.

You mean like when DAys had all three Romans on the screen at one time? yeah that wasn't hard to not go "HUH?" at all.........

Also, SwanSinger, the Luke/BillEckert storyline was a pretty big flop so I'm not sure it's ever been done *successfully*. ;o)

she has yet to impress me.

maybe its because shes in the mob side of GH and i just have hate for everyone in that side of gh (aside from elizabeth, who is saved because she use to be awsome, is friends with robin, cameron is the best soap kid ever, and she works at the hospital)

i just want claudia gone. anytime wasted on her is pointless as shes gone in a year and id rather see monica and people i care about!

She only signed for a year right? How long has she been on now? It feels like too long already.

This whole "wink to the audience" thing, as i heard Sarah describe it in an interview, is super frusterating. All of her scenes are so awkward...

[Get used to that red, Becca because according to SOW's interview with Monique Adams, GH's costume designer, it's going to be Claudia's "signature color" and that her Diane Von Furstenberg dress "epitomizes the character." Imagine my surprise when Adams further mentioned they were going for an old money vs. new money thing to differentiate Claudia from Carly. THAT's "old money?" Hrmmm ... and I thought it was just old whore circa 1977.

Can I just say that I have spent the past few days looking for the interview about this -- that she will have a European influence on her style -- D&G, Versace, etc.? The past few eps that she's been on have made me cringe with her "European style." Even Euro-trash doesn't look this trashy.

The sex kitten act is so old Carly. This character is doing nothing for me, but she does shake things up in PC a little. But not so much that she's on my screen every flipping day.

Anybody who has ever met Italians, or ever had the luck to visit that beautiful country, will know that the average Italian dresses like they are royalty, even those on a budget. Buttery cashmeres, beautiful leather shoes (not the budget Payless mules they got for Claudia), well cut, well kept and flattering to the wearer. And always classy. Claudia Zucchini's wardrobe sometimes looks like something the L&O:SVU dayplayer hooker would refuse to wear on account of it being too slutty. And the red signature theme is as subtle as a sledgehammer.

I love Sarah Brown but she is horribly ill-served by the writing and wardrobe departments.
