Seriously, what is behind John, Talia, and Antonio's behavior?? This is either the most forced, unrealistic storyline I've ever seen, or the three of them are up to something. The John/Talia thing came from nowhere!

I have been thinking the exact same thing! It seemed contrived when they first started the whole John and Talia on one side and Antonio on the other thing. I thought right away that this could be a set up for Antonio to get on the inside with Ramsey so they can take him down. They did show a few scenes where it was just the three of them in Antonio's apartment and they were still acting this way which I thought was weird if it is a set up. Since then though, they have only done all the fighting/flirting where other cops are watching. Really, I think it is the only thing that makes sense but who knows...

I've only ever watched bits and pieces of OLTL episodes before (normally just 10 min. before GH or something) but never really a whole show or with any consistency. I recentley started watching due to a little more free time and because I was curious about Farah Fath. Anyway, I just thought I'd pop in here to say how much I am enjoying it so far (it's only been about 2 or 3 weeks). What I like the most is that they seem to balance all the storylines pretty well so that it's not all one story, one character all the time. They also have a strong adult cast IMO that they actually use.

OLTL is a really good show; I'm glad you're enjoying it. I've actually thought a few storylines have been in slumps for the past few weeks, so I'm thinking you'll enjoy it even more once things pick up again. I'm really into the Gigi/Rex/Adrianna triangle right now and enjoying the Natalie and Jared pairing. Things will get awesome when David Vickers makes his inevitable return and Andrea Evans comes back!

You really are right about them having characters of all ages on OLTL. They have stories going on right now about people in age groups from teens up to what do you think? Are Vicky, Clint, Bo, Dorian, Nora, Charlie, etc. in their 50s? I enjoy that diversity. Plus most of the actors appear to be aging naturally and not getting lots of face lifts done. They dress them age appropriately too which is refreshing. And the characters have real actual stories; they aren't just props.
It really is a good show over the long haul. Sometimes it can have slow stories but overall it has a good balance that I think the other ABC soaps are missing.

That's great to know that you feel that the stories will improve because I am already impressed! I'm still working on filling in some of the holes in the current storylines from what happened before I started watching, but it is coming together. I haven't enjoyed watching a soap this much in quite a while.

Vicky, Dorian and Bo are all in their SIXTIES. Dorian is one of my favorite characters to watch, too. Clint and Charlie are both in their fifties and Nora is in her forties. They do a great job of keeping these characters relevant, too.

The Gigi/Rex/Adriana triangle just keeps getting better. It's SO soapy and I love it!
Does anyone else think the guy who plays Brody looks like Ryan Phillippe?

Oh, I agree. I thought Friday's episode was awesome. It seems like so many storylines are just taking off, particularly Rex/Gigi/Brody/Adrianna.

It's really nice to look forward to every show again, they are making some real progress lately.

It's also nice to see a show remembering their long-time cast members again. Dorian will still be fun to watch when she's eighty!

Right now I am watching OLTL more than any of the ABCs which is unusual for me. I don't know if it is extra good right now or of GH and AMC are just extra bad.
I know not everyone likes the teen storylines but I can't wait to see what is going to happen next with Cole and Starr. I love that Langston too. I like the chemistry between Jared and Natalie but the story is going a little slowly for me. The chemistry between Talia and John and Antonio and the story with them and how it is going to all play out is pretty good too. The thing that is really keeping me tuning in is the whole Rex/Adrianna/Gigi-Shane thing! I am really enjoying the pace and story there. Dorian and Leyla have been fun going off to find Brody and he looks like he could be a fun character too. I love the way they have these front burner stories but they have lots of back burner stories too and people not up front are often still in the front burner stories in parts.
The only thing that is really boring to me right now is Clint and the whole, BE - Clint is suddenly Asa Jr. because he has to save the company, thing. Maybe they should watch reruns of Dallas for some ideas to steal. Oh yeah, Bob "let's just rewrite some other shows' stories" Guza doesn't work on this show... he he he

LauraBB - agree with everything. LOVE Jared and Natalie; LOVE LOVE LOVE Rex/Adrianna/Gigi (hope Brody sticks around for a long time). Hooked on John/Talia/Antonio. I LOVE Langston, too, but am not enjoying Starr/Cole.

Huh, as I'm FFing through GH I'm wondering why I'm not watching OLTL instead!

I noticed this too. They actually have a supporting cast that they understand how to use. I'm so glad I decided to give this show a try because at the moment I'm totally in love with it.

Is it naive of me to hope GH will see the success OLTL is having and take the hint?
