Put me down firmly in the Have Never EVER cared about her one way or another. In fact put me down in the jumped up and down in joy that she was not the match for Lulu as I was beginning to fear she was.....although with Guza I wouldn't put it past him to try to re-write that as well.

Oh yeah I adore the fact that she was a candy stripper (yes spelling is intentional) over a decade ago AND flunked OUT of the student nursing program but gosh you better just pray she's nearby if you have a medical emergency. Heck Emily never actually WENT to medical school and I would accept her over Carly anyday of the week....even Way Too Happy to be a Tumor Emily.

Carly's a Spencer, right? Why wasn't SHE involved with the search for Laura? That would have been the perfect opportunity for her to pull a Tyra and make the situation all about her!

She's only a Spencer when it comes to telling everyone what they should do about Lulu...as this had no opportunity for her to pontificate about how Lulu was making the exact same decisions she did and therefore is totally awesome...and as even Genie Francis could not keep the WTF off her face should a scene involving Laura/Carly occur as it would most likely include a scene of Laura thanking Carly for taking such obviously good care of Lulu.....said scene did not occur.

It's kind of sad that my Carly hate always spills onto the person portraying her. To this day, I still can't stomach Sarah Brown no matter who she plays. Although I never really cared for her nostril-flaring emoting.

But even though I know it's the writing and it's ultimately Guza's doing that makes the Carly character so unlikeable, the actress always seems to make her that much more smug. Laura Wright plays it perfectly and as a result, I dislike her. The constant screaming probably doesn't help but her facial expressions just irk me.

I've never seen Carly as brave or savvy in anyway. Just a shrieking, step-on-anyone-to-get-her-way shrew. Her character is the one area of soapdom that makes it hard for me to separate the awfulness of the character from the person playing it. I guess that's almost a compliment to the acting but it still annoys the bejesus out of me.

So normally i would be all up in a kidnapping plot....especially regarding an infant....in the hands of the RUSSIAN mob and all...but good night this feels so plot point and rushed that I just can't bring it to care all that much. (Doesn't help that the reaction of Lucky/Liz...the two people raising Jake got all of what five minutes? to deal with the situation. Or the fact this is the second effing time this kid's been kidnapped and the second effing time that all hopes are pinned on Jason to find the kid.)

I will say Cameron stole the show with his "no no no" and his big grin when he knew his daddy was on the other side of the door.

and yes I did love Liz finally saying Lucky was right about something...even something as major as being near JAson is bad.

but I just can't bring myself to invest in this story at all. Probably doesn't help that I already know exactly when its going to end.

How come they only put Robin and Patrick on once every 3 months? Its sooooo not fair!

So let me get this straight....

we don't call the cops when we find a kidnapped child becaue the child may be held hostage in a stand off...ok......

yet running in guns ablazin as Lucky would say, and starting not only a huge shoot out but an explosive fire that could kill him...THAT is the better plan? Really? Really? I was supposed to buy that and go "ohhh poor Jason made a mistake but it was an honest one." what?

And memo to Jason...as you have not seen Jake since about February when you were so worried about your hurt trigger finger......which would be ten months ago...I have no doubt the 18 month old baby will forget you as HE HAS NO FREAKING CLUE WHO THE HECK YOU ARE. To him you are the strange man with bad hair who just stares at him, blinks alot and causes Mommy to act like she lost her darn mind. Contrary to Sam's assurances Jake does not have a connection to you. It is just possible that he might have been calm through the whole thing because A he HAS been kidnapped before and B the lady he always sees with his daddy was there and he thought LUCKY was nearby.

I was quite troubled yesterday to see Patrick interacting with the mob characters. Oh please, please, please, do not pull him in to that crap. Here's hoping that he doesn't become the token mob doctor. I have a very bad feeling about that.

And besides. The writers remind us in every traumatic situation that Carly has medical training, which translates to candy-striping 10 years ago.

well yes but someone has to save Carly when she's going to inevitably be shot or something by the evil RUSSIANS. can't have Kate have all the fun now can we?

Keep that dread Jaynaynay.......keep that dread. I'm sure it was all related to his position as the least likely person on the canvas to be in on Sonny's secret son...but still....I agree...one storyline that is mob free is all we ask for and per usual Guza decided to go balls up and give us the exact opposite of what we want...

And with that theory in mind...Guza...there is no way I want any shirtless action out of the following men while playing beach volleyball...none....it would just be awful! So no two on two action for Lucky, Patrick, Jax, Harper, Cruz, Mac.....

I will say I do like this nice Lucky/Patrick interaction that occured over the hole-filled kidnapping. Patrick needs a friend that is not a total scheeze....and I have often wondered why Patrick/Lucky can't be friends since there is such potential there and their portrayers are BFFs in real life........so I like that development...and if it gets me some Robin/Lucky stuff too..well bonus cherry on the sundae.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall when Lucky & Patrick hang out... Loved that Lucky was all "and it didn't occur to any of you to call the police?" He basically said what we were all thinking.

Wait. This is bad--I don't even know which one Harper is...

That was great...as well as his treating Jason as a common chauffer with the casual "I've got to be with my family so make sure Sam gets home ok." , turning and running back in. Heee that was just awesomeness.....and the Lucky/Sam hater in me did enjoy the bitch face Sam threw at that.

Harper is the one that used to be on Port Charles.......when Mac was interviewing Sasha he was the cop standing silently next to him.

I would join you on being a fly on that wall.....I'm hearing rumors they may interact again before the month is out and i know GV and JT were joking around at SSW this year that Lucky and Patrick should be friends. But you know combining hope and GH is a dangerous thing.......

Hey, remember who else used to be on Port Charles? Lucky and Kevin. What the heck happened to those two anyway?

I want my Lucy and Kevin far away from Guza's clutches. Although I miss Lucy terribly and loved their GH relationship, I don't think Guza knows how to write a woman like Lucy. She was more complicated than he could comprehend. Labine made Lucy and Kevin perfection. They were witty, romantic, they bickered without one person being evil, and most of all, they were a lot of fun. Guza fails at all of these dynamics in relationship writing.
