Well, look on the bright side. At least Liz got rid of the trashy blonde highlights.
AdamPascalFan- 11-13-2008
That is true...
As was the thing of beauty that was her FINALLY getting pissed off at him for dumping her. I mean sure it was like the zillionth time he's done it...but it was nice to see her finally get mad about it. That hanging up and throwing of the phone on St. Jaysus's explanation did wonders to my mood.

It's been awhile for me now, but I'm just over Jason. I haven't really been invested in any of his pairings since Robin because that was the last time he had any semblance of emotion or personality. He's just like a zombie and I really think that Steve Burton is close to the level of Maurice Benard when it comes to phone-it-in acting.
Sorry to his fans (I know there are a lot) but that's where it is for me. I'm tired of his big head and old t-shirts.
Janaynay- 11-17-2008
I don't think you'll find any St. Jaysus fans on this board. He must be getting paid pretty well. I can't imagine that the role is challenging at all for him anymore. He wasn't such a robotic d-bag back in the Robin days.
Also, my sister and I were trying to think of a time when Sonny was remotely likeable (and not creepy). When Sonny first came on the show, he was a strip-club owning skeeve. Then came the Brenda years, and the Stone years. The Stone storyline actually showed that he had a compassionate side to him. In my opinion, that was when he was at his best.
I'd say that the Sonny-St.Jaysus hate stems not from a dislike of the actors, but a dislike of the utter crap they're given to recite.
Again, I'd like to offer my suggestion of fastforwarding through all mob-related storylines. You'll be done watching GH in 5 minutes flat. Think of all the time you could use for other, more important things such as polishing your silver. Or counting grass blades.

i personally am a big fan of the marathon viewing sessions of whatever "Dating" show VH1 is peddling this season. Yes "Real Chance at Love" is better written and more compelling than GH. That's right folks I said it. I went there. I'll wear it proudly.
All I have to say about the Maxie thing is this...Way to be classy Guza...way to be classy.
Janaynay- 11-18-2008
Robin and Patrick were adorable yesterday. I have to wonder if they're being written by a completely different team.
Otherwise, the entire show yesterday was god-awful.
I hope against all hope that I get invited to another GH focus group. I hope Guza will be watching behind the mirrored window, so I can flick him off (or yell obscenities while pounding on the glass).
UGH!
Again, it's only a matter of time for Patrick to be Duhamel-ed and move on to better things.
AdamPascalFan- 11-18-2008
Like I don't expect actual logic and realism in GH...that ship sailed with Casey the Alien...but at least Guza generally makes a half-ass attempt to hide his gi-normous plot holes....now its like he doesn't even care to hide them.
There are quite a few characters I've started to suspect have been taken hostage by another group of writers (my chief suspects centers on the strike writers) as they continually defy the Guza laws of the show. Sure Guza slips in there every now and again but by and large I suspect certain characters have been saved by other writers.
Janaynay- 11-18-2008
Yes, why can't we bring back the scabs? I think our GH hate was a little less during the strike, wasn't it?
AdamPascalFan- 11-18-2008
It was....it was....
But you know the really sad thing? Those scabs were with GH BEFORE the strike and they are there NOW. So clearly its not ALL the writers....CLEARLY its the influence of Guza that makes the show so unbearable!
AdamPascalFan- 11-20-2008
Mac Scorpio is the awesome. It is quite clear to me that Georgie got her truthy telling ways regarding the mob through osmosis of Mac's awesomeness...because that speech he gave Spinelli and Maxie? HEAVEN. On. Earth. Yes I am biased whenever anyone runs Spinelli out of the room and gets him to be quiet but that was just excellent. As was the derision of Spinelli's geek speak.
In light of this, I feel relatively safe in saying at least ONE of the identies of the Awesome Writer is Michael Conforti.
Janaynay- 11-20-2008
Agree.
I know this is a sentiment we all share here on the boards, but did anyone especially want to punch Carly in the face yesterday? I mean, more than usual?
juniemoonie- 11-20-2008
There has never been a soap character I have disliked more than I dislike Carly. Yesterday I wanted to knock the smug off of her face but that's not really any different than I usually feel about her.
We have talked about her before plenty of times but I will always stand by my feeling that her entrance to the GH canvas was the beginning of the end of me truly loving this show.
Of course that also coincides with Guza's entrance to the show so there you have it. When Labine left and Carly entered (with her lying, cheating, skanky self) the idea of what truly makes a brave character on this show became as twisted as a Twizzler.
AdamPascalFan- 11-20-2008
I always want to knock the smug off of Carly and into say the next millenium where I am reasonably sure it will no longer pollute me or what I watch.
Carly's enterance to the canvas as always been marked in my mind as the start of the "Created by Guza? Morally flexible past? Can twist to do anything Guza wants? Polarizing force of discussion? why that character is awesome!" era on GH. And Tony Jones is the first and foremost example of a vet character sacrificed at the alter of propping another character. Followed oh so closely by AJ.
AdamPascalFan- 11-20-2008
So is anyone else getting the impression that Guza is just stealing from poorly written fanfiction or is that just me? Cause I'm tellign you...this entire RUSSIANS storyline is something I swear I have started to read and then stopped because the author stopped making sense in paragraph one.
how on earth did the RUSSIAN from Kate's room know to show up at Liz's? And seriously...Lucky and JAson are sendign Liz, Sam and the boys out of town for their own protectoin and NO GUARDS????? I mean I'm glad as the next person they aren't using the Jason/Liz sex shack but seriously.....Lucky SPencer who grew up on the run from the mob was involved in the planning of this?????
Janaynay- 11-20-2008
That's true! Lucky was awfully crafty as a child. Remember when he and Foster ran away?
I'm curious--just a quick poll really. How many of you guys have ever liked Carly at any stage on GH, or cared about her well-being?
Everyone's all "OMG, Sarah Brown and Tamra Braun as Carly were so fierce!" But now that I think about it, I hated it when Carly rolled into town and immediately turned Tony into a crazy perv.
I also love how the fact that she was a candy striper more than 10 years ago always gets brought up as a medical expert.
1. Hostage situation: Hey Carly, you can perform surgery on Robin, right?
2. Sonny and Kate's wedding: Hey Carly, what do you do when someone gets shot in the gut?
