In order to save my brain, I'm taking a break from GH and have been watching One Life to Live instead. Ron Carlivati is a miracle and I wish that they could find someone this talented to write for GH. I'm already feeling the love for a soap again.

It's just good in every possible way. I don't mean that sarcastically either.

I just wanted to stop in here and say hi and let everyone know that this show doesn't make me want to cry everyday (unless it's for good soapy reasons).

Are you suggesting that if they do the same scene over and over again maybe one will be so good it's worth an Emmy nod? Because that is where I think they're going with this.

Proof that Carly's learned nothing: that would be sleeping with Sonny again. After banning him from seeing Michael. After declaring her love for Jax umpteen times. After getting ready to give Sonny the heave-ho as a parent. After having mistake sex with Sonny less than a year ago!!! Now I guess Kate will rape Jax and Carly will blame Jax.

An amusing top ten list from yesterday's episode:

I get kick-backs. My eighty-sixth birthday is in July and I have been promised a Chocolate Toffee Trifle!

Regarding 5/20 episode - -

I really enjoyed the scenes at the police station - always good to see Mac. I liked Tracy threatening Trevor, and Luke's comment about "profligate swizzlers" was really funny.

General Hospital should do more comedy (but not with Spinelli) - Diane and Alexis are funny, Luke and Tracy can be great - why don't they utilize ths talent?

Me too! Even just FF through GH I can tell that it is miserable. It's completely dark and rainy with lots of crying.

If you are looking for a lil' Love In The Afternoon", it's on One Life To Live!

I think GH is going for "atmospheric" but it's just depressing.

May is almost over - where is our "event" ala Rex and Adrianna's wedding?

Yesterday, I did enjoy the Spencer family goodbyes and Tracy taking off with Luke. If they did core family interaction more often I would be happy.

I think GH has forgotten that sex and love aren't synonymous - Carly and Sonny were just unpleasant to watch the other day.

I learned a long time ago Guza apparenlty doesn't do May sweeps....I can't remember the last "event" he did in May....

I have totally stopped watching GH. My only reason for doing so is Scrubs, and this stupid blog storyline is so, well, stupid that I can't take it. I can't bear watching Kimberly and Jason and actually wincing.

So congrats, GH, for taking fantastic, compelling actors with chemistry to burn and making them unwatchable.

Can someone please explain to me WHY on God's green earth Guza is still there?

Word, word, and word!

I've been GH-free for two weeks and haven't missed it at all. I didn't even intentionally stop watching, just lost interest. Too much Claudia, Sonny and Carly doesn't make for very interesting viewing and I have better things to do!

Me too! My soap life is so much healthier with One Life to Live and Days in the mix.

I was hanging on because I thought they would try and do this Scrubs baby storyline some soapy justice (mostly because JFP had been promising that in every soap mag for ages) but since they've failed my couple, I need a break.

I'm sure I will be back at some point very shortly, when I need something to bitch about, but it was getting to be a little too rage inducing.

AdamPascalFan- 05-26-2008
soapy justice? GH? JFP promise in the mags?On a storyline that (so far...knock on an entire fecking forest for at least this much continuing) has abso-freaking-lutley nothing to do with Sonny and his not so secret pain, Carly and her secret/not so secret pain and Jason and his in no way secret pain?

I have two words....

The hell?

While I in no way enjoy this crap they are selling as a pregnancy storyline (Anyone else getting the impression Guza was just now made aware of this thing called the internet, blogs and text messaging since suddenly for the first time since Lucky was a teenager its all everyone is talking about? And given Guza's grasp of show history...he could totally have forgotten all about other computer related stuff he's already done) I confess I originally envisioned a baby switch with the Carjax baby and at least one EONS (eternal one night stand) between Patrick and Carly over some sort of miuscommunication over Jax and Robin....so I'm only marginally happy that didn't turn out the way I feared.

See rage does sometimes come in handy....

Becca- 05-26-2008
The Blog Wars storyline could possibly bring about the end of my soap-viewing life. It has done the impossible: make me find Patrick and Robin annoying. (In a different way than I found them annoying on Night Shift, and during the baby rabies fiasco, during the Professor Creepy era . . . goddamn, how did I ever build up so much affection for this couple with all this horrible writing?)

I hate this show.

Norma B- 05-27-2008
This would probably be a good time to stop watching, but I still have hope that the actors can pull it off and make it enjoyable in spite of the stupidity of the idea.

As with Anthony Hopkins, I could watch Kimberly McCullough read the phone book and be enthralled.

Plus, I admit to morbid curiousity about how Guza plans to handle Sonny becoming a law-abiding citizen storyline. I'm sure it will be bad, but I can't look away.

It's sad that after years of viewing Kmc at her best, especially during the Stone storyline, even her and Jason Thompson's incredible chemistry can't save this train wreck of a storyline/show.

I feel bad for you Becca, but I rely solely on your recaps to get me caught up. I can't take Guza's clown car of crap anymore.
