they are totally and without a doubt my most favorite pairing that could be awesome but TIIC smoke crack and will never ever go there because they suck like that and are short sighted and just have asses for brains.

Not going to happen on this show.

Plus, they're both like...OVER 40 (gasp! shock! horror!) and we know how TPTB feel about characters like that. They're either never shown or played purely for laughs.

All reasons why I know TIIC who sit on their brains will never allow it to happen.

Much as I like Mac, I want him far, far away from Alexis. My god, that man has been shoved into the veteran closet way before his time, and I worry that it's contagious- a disease forcing those affected immediately onto the backburner. Put Alexis with him, and we probably won't see her for months.

I love Mac. I wish so much they would find a way to bring him back into the spotlight. It bears repeating that these showrunners really don't understand the millions of people they have driven away with their opinon of what the core audience wants from soaps.

Mac was rebellious in his day but he matured into a valiant but flawed man. He's the kind of character that should be the moral center of a show. I'm baffled at the way they have shoved him out of view to glorify Sonny.

I think this would be a good pairing. Alexis deserves someone like Mac. On a similar note, I would like to see Sam paired up with Detective Rodriguez (I just want to see more of Adrian Alvarado). I think they could work. I don't really like Lucky with Sam for some reason. I don't like the Alexis/Creepy Jerry thing either.

I completely agree and I adore Detective Cruz.

It drives me bananas that we can't have handsome, upstanding citizens as main characters on this show (without them being dumbed down) because our heros always have to be mobsters.

It's beating a dead horse, but whenever I think of people like Dr. Leo and Det. Cruz and their wasted potential along with their ability to bring some diverse culture to the show, I want to scream.
