Yes why would we want someone who emmulates Laura..thinks the world of BOTH her brother (yes Guza...she has TWO!)....and has her dad's temper.....
why that would just be a boring character!

No the mob has no one to say they are the best....lets send Lulu that way.

On the other hand...Lucky is extremely swoon-worthy these days....

Lucky is swoonworthy and awesome these days, which is why I fear what will happen later. You know how they like to tease us with that pesky hope thing we cling to. One day he's making a whole lot of sense and looking a whole lot of gorgeously noble, and the next day he and the children are sucking on Aqua Dots or something.

At this point, I'm afraid that Lulu just has to go away. I know she needs major character rebuilding, but I don't even want to watch her being rebuilt because I need a vacation from her...and her men...and really, just the entire teen scene. And the mob. And the newbies. And...gosh, is that the show now?

I wouldn't even know what was going on if not for the awesome if infrequent serial drama updates.

This might be a really stupid question but what does NAACP stand for?

and here is my saying about FauxJax,

FauxJax is no Jax.

NAACP stands for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Its been around for over 90 years, and has a fantastic history of advocacy for minorities (although not such an eye for soap opera talent, LOL).

Ooooh Thanks for the info. It sounds like it would be awesome to be nominated for that award.

So, now that Cady McClain's reportedly out at ATWT, who else votes that she moseys on over to Port Charles as Logan's mother, Jackie? I'm thinking she and Kin Shriner could have some excellent chemistry.

Oh, that would be GREAT! However, if I were Cady, I would probably work the pole before ever coming back to ABC Daytime.

It seems that Shell Kepler, who played Nurse Amy Vining on GH from the late 70's to the early 00's, died of renal failure. She was in her late 40's.

I know Amy had not been on the show in a number of years (which was probably for the best, as Guza would have just ruined her), but I remember her smiling face behind the nurse's counter, that slap she gave Laura when she found out Laura had faked her own death in 1997, her supportive relationship with her family, and even the way she used to put Carly in her place when Carly was a young woman trying to get a job at the hospital.

I miss the Vining/Webber family so much. I know GH will not bother to remember Amy, but I hope they can at least give a small "In Memory Of" for Shell. She was a key supporting player on GH for many years and she will be missed.

Oh man! Thanks for letting us know. How sad.

I loved Amy! How funny was she always abandoning Lucy at the Nurses' Balls every year and gossiping at the hospital. She was a great comic relief for the show and I was very sad to see her go. How sad for her family to lose her so young.

Awww...Poor Shell. I won't lie, I could not STAND Amy Vining, but that obviously means nothing. SO young. Good lord...

That would be awesome, DaytimeDiva; however, I've got to side with filegirl on this one -- ABCD treated Cady horribly. On the other hand, starvation has a way of magically inspiring one's forgiveness towards the arses of the world (at least those in positions to extend job opportunities) so stranger things have happened, especially now that she was so summarily dismissed from ATWT. BTW, wasn't that the best quote ever? "All they had left to take from her was her dignity -- so they did."

Even if Cady was in a forgiving mood though, she was very public in her disappointment for herself and those fans who were so invested in Tad, Dixie and little Kate. I suspect Frons and the other IIC will give Cady the "Genie Francis" treatment -- publically saying how much they really want her back and privately barring all the doors. Bastards!

I do wonder what might be going on behind the scenes though to get her dumped so publically and so often. This is two networks in a row who brought her back with big fanfare, ostensibly for big story arc and then cut the story's short in ways that make NO sense (and cause tremendous fan angst) to dump her. She has admitted that she fought hard for her character and perhaps TPTB just don't feel like dealing with that, which is a shame. It's sad because daytime actors *should* be committed to their characters. Oftentimes they have been there much longer than the writers and know all the zigs and zags of character development. However, part of being employed in any job is knowing when to shut your mouth so perhaps it's just that simple, sadly.

Man, it would be great to see her back though. And I think she could do some fantastic work with both Kin Shriner and Josh Duhan. Her scenes with JR on AMC were always so wonderful -- she has a gift of imparting love to tormented, wild characters which makes for some really nice tv watching.

Lois Nettleton passed away a few weeks ago. She played the woman who raised Carly. She appeared on GH a few times from 1996 to 1998 until she died of a stroke when she found out about Carly's lies. I thought that was a poor way to write out a character who could have done more, but Lois did wonderfully with what she had.

She was in so much else, from films to stage work to TV. Probably her most famous role today would be Dorothy's lesbian friend on the Golden Girls, the one who fell in love with Rose.

Lois was on daytime back in the mid-50's, on The Brighter Day, one of the only radio soaps to find some success on TV. One of her co-stars was Hal Holbrook.

I was googling GH to find a transcript of Sam visiting Jason in jail (oh the pain, oh the horror) and found a blog that made mention of it. The article was nothing to write home about but my, oh, my ... sigh ... the pictures!

I'm not pleased with Logan's behavior and temper (all too often he's living up to the "brutally" and forgetting the "hot"); however, I'm shallow enough to forget many of his transgressions when Josh Duhan lets the pretty show. And oh, it's so pretty.

And if that wasn't the perfect box of chocolates for your Valentine's day, Greg Vaughan is definitely the pièce de résistance. Oh, and let me be the first to ask the SD ladies to attach the "brutally hot" moniker to poor, dim Lucky. (I was going to retire the "poor" and "dim" adjectives after last week but I'm holding them in abeyance until I see whether he buys into Sam's guilt trip.)

Day-am.

I still need Sam to accept even a shred of personal responsibility for ... well ... anything before they get together but please, Lord, let it be soon so we can have lots of scenes with hot, shirtless Lucky. Or hell, who needs Sam? Doesn't Lucky have to wash a car or something? (If Alicia Minshew can wear sleeveless sundresses in January I think Greg Vaughan can go shirtless.)

That just made my day! Lucky has been super hot lately but I'm pretty cynical as far as it lasting is concerned. How can any other male lead on this show remain consistently astute and heroic when there's a Jason Morgan on the loose?

Juniemoonie, to paraphrase from Desiderata:

If you compare yourself other characters with others Jason,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself Jason.
Enjoy your achievements Lucky's hotness as well as your plans Jason's glory.

Keep interested in your own Lucky's career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs on the docks of PC;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is Jason's virtue;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism (but never as heroic as Jason).

Therefore be at peace with God Jason,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life mysogyny of GH, keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams bad writing,
it is still a beautiful world there are still many hot men making it a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy (dream of Guza's termination).

Lucky will never be an noble as Jason in Guza's world (which is a shame because I like my fave characters with flaws and I think it would lend him depth); however, that shouldn't stop us from enjoying both! Not only is GV incredibly hot, he's been turning up the talent in his scenes lately as well. Did he take acting lessons off-screen, is he just more comfortable in the role, or is it because Guza finally gave him a story?

AdamPascalFan- 02-08-2008
I think its because finally he was given scripts that required him to say more than "I'm sorry for breathing." And "thank you JAson I owe you everything!"
