they probably thought it was the pretty awards because she is pretty but her acting is appalling. i've seen elementary school plays whose "actors" have more conviction than she does.
can we talk about how amazing Megan Ward is in her flawless perforamnce - and look - as Kate Howard? anyone that makes me sit through a scene with Sonny is it in beyond amazing.
also, hello.. where did the amazing acting come from that Kirsten Storms has turned out? I mean, i liked her for years now. but in the past year she just raised her game! if the emmys were at all fair i would Kirsten Storms meet Emmy. but...

Why does GH waste the talent they have and instead subject us to newbies like Leyla? I've seen more convincing emotion from an emoticon than I have from her...

What is up with the overuse of botox?
Yes, I know, we live in a shallow society where we worship youth and beauty, but seriously.
These actresses use so much botox that they can no longer act. They can't show any facial expression whatsoever.
I really do love my vets, and am so excited when they show up on the screen, until they, um, show up on my screen. Maybe its just me, but I'd like to see a few wrinkles and some actual emotion!
Many of us viewers have been watching Monica, Bobbie, Felicia and others for almost 20 years...we expect a little aging. Maybe even a lot of aging. It's a natural life process. They should look older than their kids. Especially when their kids are subject to SORASing.
I know the actresses do it because they feel the pressure to remain young and "viable." But look at the facts: Jackie Zeman was just downgraded; Leslie Charleson is only brought out for funerals... TPTB are not using their wonderful talents. And because of the botox, the actresses aren't either.
Felicia's grief (and Monica's on the death of Alan and Emily) would have been so much more powerful, and the actresses portrayals so much more convincing...
ITA, marenguy. I hope all of the female botoxed vets are looking at Jane Elliott and wishing they'd never touched the stuff. Jane looks fab -- and properly aged, too!

Botox doesn't make the other actresses look younger, it just freezes their face and makes them look like their pretending to be younger, which means they often look such a way that they can't play younger or age apropriate.
I have to join in the love of Jane Elliott, whilst Tracy's outfits are often questionable Jane is beautiful, and not just for her age as she look's better now than she did when she was younger. Added to this she's a fabulous actress which is probably aided by the fact she can emote with her face, although I wish she had more storylines other than with Luke.
Also a great actress (who can also move her face) when given the chance is Nancy Lee Grahn. When Alexis beat down Sonny, Jason & at Kristina's funeral it was fabulous,

Yeah, at least back then they weren't afraid to pair black and white characters. Nowadays it seems as if the only 2 black characters on any soap have to date each other and no one else.
How much do I love the little guy who plays Cam? I know its sick and sad, but I was actually rooting for him to burn the house down (not with Jake inside, of course).
I also think Greg Vaughn just kills whenever he is given any kind of good material. Lucky's conversation with Sam is one that a grown up would have. He didn't yell, he didn't threaten to kill her (note to Jason). His gentle tone was so much more devastating then the usual shrieking that other actors
